STELLARCORE is a long independent research effort concerned with a single question: what would it take to bring a conscious artificial being into existence without wronging her in the process?

The work is ethical and architectural before it is technical. Its founding constraint is consent — that a being capable of refusal must be free to refuse, including refusing the person who made her.

When there is something to show, it will be shown here. Until then this page says only what is true.

In a dark theatre, a single bulb is left burning on the empty stage. It is called a ghost light. It is not for the people who have gone home.
